Half Scale Tudor Burgonet Helmet
Based on one of the most iconic helmet designs in history, this mini helmet is a scale replica of a Tudor Burgonet, a 16th-century cavalry helmet worn with a “Falling Buffe” to protect the face. The helmet comes with a wooden display stand so that you can proudly show off this piece of history at home or in the office!
Many examples of the Burgonet can be found in the Royal Armouries’ collection, including Sir John Smythe’s Burgonet (II.84.A – Leeds) and the Augsburg Burgonet (IV.154 – Tower of London).
