Rosie the Riveter rubber duck
Rosie
the Riveter will ensure bath time goes without a hitch. With polka dot
headscarf and blue shirt, this yellow rubber duck is striking the same pose as
the character in the iconic World War Two poster.
Rosie the Riveter is the nickname given to the female munitions worker from the
famous “We Can Do It!” poster published in the Second World War. The poster was
created to boost the morale of the American female munitions factory workers
who replaced the men that had been sent to the frontline. The poster, however, wasn’t
widely encountered during the war and was later rediscovered in the 1980’s and
has since become a symbol of feminism and female empowerment.
These
floating yellow friends make brilliant decorative pieces for your home, as well
as fun and entertaining bath time companions for people of all ages. Measuring
10cm in length these novel rubber ducks have been carefully hand painted to
achieve these funky designs.
